Had the best time at the CASAE-ACEEA Inc. conference held at The University of British Columbia with my favourite conference buddies, Dr. Dirk Rodricks and Annalissa Crisostomo.

We presented findings from our research study where we used cultural arts movement to explore border crossings, and discussed how these findings inform community-based education and pedagogy. Particularly, we emphasized how method and pedagogy inform each other. Read our full conference proceeding here [pp. 612-619].

It’s always a joy attending conferences and seminars outside social work – helps me appreciate the richness in the intersections across fields of practice and how much social work practice and education can both learn from and inform other disciplines.
